The Maison F 8×8 BCC by Pierre Jeanneret and Jean Prouvé is part of the line of projects initiated from 1939 around the construction principle with an axial portico created by Prouvé in 1938. This small “all-wood” construction, produced at a few examples between 1941 and 1943 in extreme war-related conditions refers to the extraordinary adaptability of the two men. It is also concrete testimony to the friendly complicity that binds two inspired characters: the architect and the builder. Many visuals and plans accompany this book.
