What are the different activities of OROS?

OROS is a multi-disciplinary project around the wood material. We develop everyday objects under the name OROS Editions, imagined by our team or in collaboration with designers, and shaped in France by different craftsmen. These items are available on our e-shop or through resellers. We also collaborate on an ad hoc basis with various creatives to present unique pieces or very limited series around various themes, available exclusively on our e-shop. Finally, we regularly offer online readings, highlighting various projects related to the creative industry.

OROS Editions

How are the OROS Editions imagined? – We thought of them as objects that accompany us on a daily basis and that combine functionality, versatility, demonstration of know-how and creativity. Our ambition is to create relevant pieces that meet the needs of modern life, while offering them a timeless dimension thanks to the intrinsic qualities of wood. 

Is your creative process responsible? – The links between raw materials and know-how are very strong because we are committed to ensuring that they come from the same territory. Thus, an object fashioned in the Jura will be made in an essence from this same region. All of the species used come from responsibly managed forests, private fellings or scraps. In terms of our communication and impressions, we try as much as possible to work with products from the © FSC label. 

What does “In Stock”, “Make to Order” or “Out of Stock” parts mean? – On our e-shop, a part can indeed have different statuses. “In stock” parts can be ordered directly from our site and will be sent to you as soon as possible. The parts specified in "Made to order" are not currently in stock but can be produced especially for you, within 2 to 3 weeks. All you have to do is place your order normally, and be a little more patient than usual. Concerning the parts in “Out of stock”, this means that it is impossible to order them to date.

I really like your editions, and would like to order a custom-made piece from you. Is it possible ? - Sure ! Simply write to us at laure@oros.design detailing your request. We will respond to you as soon as possible.

How to maintain the wooden parts? – Wood, a living material, needs to be maintained over time. Any wooden part then requires a lot of attention. Depending on the models, the parts are oiled, waxed or varnished. Do not put them in the dishwasher, only clean them in hot water with a sponge and  dry them immediately, do not let them soak! To restore a certain shine to the wood, we suggest that each customer oil or wax the piece themselves with a soft cloth. Each order comes with a small care card.

Unique pieces

How do you select the different creatives with whom you collaborate? – This is quite variable and depends on encounters, favorites and discoveries. If you would like to propose a collaborative project to us, do not hesitate to refer to the “Collaborate” page or write us an email directly at contact@oros.design.

How can I be sure of the authenticity of these parts? – Each unique piece is delivered with a certificate of authenticity, dated, numbered if it is a micro series, and signed by its creator.

Payment

How can I pay for my order? – We accept Visa, Mastercard and Paypal. You can write to laure@oros.design if you encounter a problem during your payment.

How do you calculate shipping costs? – Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight of your order and your postal address. They are updated at the time of validation of your order.

Delivery

Is it possible to organize a hand-delivery? – If you are based in Marseille, you can pick up your order in the 1st arrondissement. For this, please specify it at the time of the delivery tab of your order, we will then contact you to offer you a time slot.

Where do you ship? – We offer delivery in France, Europe and internationally via Delivengo Easy or Colissimo depending on the weight of the package.

How can I track my order? – Once your order has been sent, you will receive an email with your tracking number. Do not hesitate to check the progress of the delivery thanks to this number, or to contact us if you need help.

Can I return a part? – You have 14 days of withdrawal from the receipt of your package. Returned items must be undamaged, complete and in their original packaging.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, send an email to the following address: contact@oros.design specifying the elements below:

  • Order date and / or delivery date
  • Order number
  • Client name
  • Customer address

If the return request is validated, we will then send you an explanatory email to proceed with the return. We will then issue a return label from the same carrier for shipping your package. Publications

How to be published on OROS? – Any new project relating to wood interests us, for its aesthetic or technical qualities. If you think that your project could fit into the OROS editorial line, do not hesitate to refer to the “Submit your project” page or to write us an email directly to contact@oros.design detailing the characteristics of the project and sending us some visuals.
