Mechanical properties: Strong shrinkage but fairly good stability when dry. Little nervous, not very important internal tensions.

Technological properties: Works very easily. Easy and quick drying. Sticks, stains and nails easily.

Wood characteristics: Yellowish to reddish, whitish or pinkish wood, sometimes veined with green. Sapwood not distinct. Homogeneous wood.

Mechanical properties: Low density.

Technological properties: Soft and easy to work, saw, turn and sculpt. Strong shrinkage on drying. Very stable when dry. Not very durable and unsuitable for outdoor use.
