The Misused Liang-Jung-Chen and Shuei-Yuan-Yang

Published 13 / 12 / 2018

Taiwanese designers Liang-Jung-Chen and Shuei-Yuan Yang have collaborated together to design a collection of everyday objects called “Bad Uses”. This collection is inspired by the way in which the elders of the Taiwanese countryside transform existing objects to create objects of another use. This collection aims to re-use certain industrial metal elements - a door support, a floor drain, a door hinge, a hose clamp, an S-hook etc - and to associate them with humor with others. materials to create a new use. So as an example, a bookends was designed from plywood and a corner support.
