El Ray secondary residence Simon Conder Associates

El Ray is one of a group of five houses located on the beach at Dungeness Beach, England. This holiday home was designed from a 19th century railroad car, now used as the living room and kitchen. The Simon Conder Associates architectural firm has made it possible to create a fully glazed south elevation overlooking the English Channel. The roof terrace also offers an incredible 360 ​​° view of the beach and the sea. The entire exterior cladding and the terrace have been designed in Itauba, an exotic wood very resistant to temperature variations. The interior walls and floors as well as the joinery were made of birch plywood.
