Jean Touret was a painter, sculptor, furniture designer and creator of sacred art. His singular creative adventure took root, after the Second World War, in a village in Beauce where he directed Les Artisans de Marolles, a cooperative known for its production of furniture and objects. His activity as a sculptor and his participation in the revival of sacred art are less known, although we owe him major works such as the high altar of Notre-Dame de Paris. This first monograph sets out to present the different worlds in which Jean Touret flourished. It reveals a rich work, beating to the rhythm of a humanist and poetic action, animated by a deep spiritual life.
