Naama Table Jan Hendzel Studio

Jan Hendzel Studio, a cabinetmaking workshop based in London, has just presented a brand new bespoke table. Inspired by the work of George Nakashima, it was made from the last Scottish elms. Through this table, Jan demonstrates his passion for traditional sculpture, large-scale structures and innovative carpentry. Geometric pieces have been encrusted on the surface to replace the defects. The stripes and curved pedestal were handmade, using traditional carving tools. The form is a delicate juxtaposition between the organic and the geometric - the natural forms of wood, in harmony with a journey of lines and angular shapes through the surface and the base.
