Designer Anthony Guerrée and Atelier Jespers present the exhibition The Assizes of Lost Time. Through a series of sculptural chairs, the French designer highlights the protagonists of Marcel Proust's novel In search of lost time. A curation proposed by the Brussels gallery owner Jean-François Declercq in partnership with the Cornette de Saint Cyr auction house.

“I read Proust like one dreams a dream and I very quickly wanted to keep track of it, to freeze my perception of the characters by making them visible and giving them a real place in space, by giving them a seat. »Anthony Guerrée then manages to« chaisify »the features and attitudes of the characters Albertine, Elstir, Odette, Swann, Verdurin, Vinteuil, Charlus and Saint-Loup, thanks to a wide range of materials, graphic shapes and unique textures. The atypical scenography in the heart of the private mansion of the auction house, presents the sculptural seats on podiums. Thus, oak, ash, cedar, cork, rattan or even spruce seem to dialogue with consistency and invite us to escape.
