Amelie Maison d'Art Art Gallery Batik Studio

Published 07 / 12 / 2018

In the 9th arrondissement of Paris, the Amelie Maison d'Art art gallery, founded by curator Amélie du Chalard, was inaugurated this year. This gallery has been redesigned in an unconventional context, even within a two-storey apartment. All the works are distributed in each of the rooms, making the visit surprising.

The building dating from the 18th and 19th centuries was taken over by Studio Batiik and required renovation to modernize the surfaces. Some elements of the time have been preserved such as the Haussmanian beams tastefully combined with lighter and more contemporary wooden structures.

Special mention for the semi-spiral staircase.
