Wood characteristics: White / creamy brown heartwood color, satin reflections. Sapwood not distinct. Hard, medium-heavy. Discreet wavy yarn, fine and regular grain. The sycamore maple is a tree with slender stems, of which large oblique branches arise from its trunk. Its bark is initially smooth and gray, then reddish gray and darker with age.
Technological properties: Easy but slow drying. Sawing without difficulty. As a clear essence, sensitive to stains and burns. Good machining and sanding. Can be bent after steaming.
