Atelier Darbroche

After multiple experiences related to literature and the arts, and a terrible need to reconnect the things that made sense to him, Guillaume founded Atelier Darbroche. In his workshop in the heart of the Vosges, he finds a link with the earth, the material, the hand and the time.

Each piece produced is unique, created modestly, slowly, with the deep wish that the spirit of the tree from which it comes shines through in it. Through his practice, he aims to return to a certain form of simplicity, by advocating eco-responsible, local, reasoned and sustainable production. Thus, the wood with which he works comes from forests in the region, either bought in a sawmill, given or recovered within the forests. The wax that protects most of his pieces comes from beehives located 40km from his workshop, and prepared in-house by him.
