Vincent Dionigi, designer cabinetmaker, met the founders of the architecture and interior concept firm Ligne Droite on the occasion of Paris Design Week 2014. In 2015, this resulted in an order for the renovation of an apartment in one of their clients: 2 doors of 2,6m x 1m.

These doors are inspired by a range of decorative panels that Vincent has created. Available at will on the doors of a piece of furniture, a picture or a wall covering, these decorative panels draw their inspiration from the minimalism and elegance of Scandinavian design. No digital machining is used by Vincent. He generally favors the traditional methods of cutting and gluing.

For these doors he uses birch plywood. The structure of the material is then exploited and it reveals the different layers that constitute it. The triangle being the basic part of these decorative panels, the final appearance can vary thanks to the different possible positions. To finish, he applies a matt varnish to highlight the grain without distorting the wood.
